All nursing staff at VNA Home Care and Hospice of Mercer County are Registered Nurses licensed by the NJ State Board of Nursing. VNA nurses receive special training on providing care in a home setting. The Registered Nurse acts as a primary case manager to coordinate your services, collaborate with other disciplines involved in your care, and communicate regularly with your physician on progress at home. VNA nurses assess your condition, make skilled observations, provide education on medications and procedures you may need to learn to manage your illness. Our nurses also perform specialized treatments such as wound care, infusion therapy, diabetic management, heart and lung monitoring, and many other clinical procedures.
