Occupational Therapists help restore patients' abilities and independence in self care and other activities within their home setting. They address physical, psychological and social aspects of illness, injury and aging. Instruction is provided to patients and caregivers in techniques and equipment to help compensate for movement, vision, hearing and cognitive impairments.
Speech-Language Pathologists provide services to improve patients' ability to express themselves and understand others verbally, in writing and through other methods of communication.
